STAMPtember! Jingle Stencil Merry Christmas

Hello! The brand new STAMPtember Release from Simon Says Stamp with is live and ready for you to shop! YAY! I have this little card to share with you using one of the new stencils and distress ink to make a simple holiday card!

I used the brand new Holiday Tree Medallion Stencil to create my card - paired up with Cracked Pistachio and Evergreen Bough Distress inks - laying down the deepest color in the center, and fading toward the edges.

I added a simple heat embossed sentiment from a previously released stamp set, and then for fun, used some black thread to add some little jingle bells hanging down under the sentiment and tied with a bow at the top. So fun and festive that way!

Winnie and Walter Release Day 3 - Celebrate

Good morning! I'm back yet again with another sneak peek of the new Winnie and Walter release! I just LOVE this new release - such a wonderful mix of beautiful stamps and dies! Today I'm using a couple new stamp sets premiering today - and a stamp and die set that premiered earlier this week on the Winnie and Walter Blog - make sure and head over there to see the new sets and lots of inspiration with them!

I used Mini Scenery: Round and Round stamp set to create my background - isn't it FUN?!?!?!? I added some sentiments from Sentimental: Gift (free with purchase with this new release) and some balloons from the other set premiering today - Ring in the Celebration - using a pen to hand draw in the strings where I wanted them. Since the blue background is pigment ink, and the black of the balloons is pigment - I love how it looks like the balloons are transparent - just as they would be in real life! FUN! I then added the In a Word: Celebrate Cutaways from black cardstock, adhered it to my card, and then covered with Glossy Accents - nice and flat, but lots of interest and dimension that can go through the mail!

Winnie and Walter Release Day 2 - Floral Birthday

Good morning! I'm back with another sneak peek of the new Winnie and Walter release! I just LOVE this new release - such a wonderful mix of beautiful stamps and dies! Today I'm featuring the gorgeous new floral set - In Bloom: Shirley's Blooms premiering today on the Winnie and Walter Blog - make sure and head over there to see the new sets and lots of inspiration with them!

I love these gorgeous florals - perfect for layering for a loose fun look, or using separately! I stamped a bunch of blooms and leaves, and cut them out with the coordinating dies, then arranged them on a soft blue cardbase. I heat embossed sentiment (from a set you will see later this week) on some black cardstock, trimmed to a rectangle, and placed over the top. Once I was happy with the arrangement, I used Press and Seal to pick up the arrangement, apply adhesive to the back of the florals, and place back on my card. I then placed the sentiment portion with foam adhesive. Then I went crazy with the Nuvo drops and added lots of white accents around.

Distress Inks and Oxides - Fall Leaf Cards

Good morning! I've got a post this morning also on the Unity blog sharing a couple cards - as well as a Quick Tip Video - using this month's Kit of the Month: Never Be Afraid!

Here is the video showing how I used both the original distress inks, and distress oxides on my card:

I love the mix of color and texture you get from combining the two different inks.

Here is a look at this month's kit - isn't it amazing?!?!? You can check it out and read the details and perks of the Kit of the Month HERE:

As a bonus, I also have another card that I made using this kit, and a different leaf and sentiment:

I can't decide which one I like better! Although I've always been a bit partial to maple leaves like this second one...

Dinos and Action Wobbles

Good morning! Life has been a bit crazy here lately - so other than time that I have been working ahead on a BUNCH of new releases from some of my Design teams, I haven't had much time to make anything else!

However, I recently got some new inks as a gift, and of COURSE couldn't wait to play with them - so I pulled out my Hello Dino stamp set from the last Lil' Inkers release and tested them out. Then...of course, I needed to put them on some cards - you know how one thing leads to another. I kept them simple, and enjoyed using lots of the adorable sentiments in this stamp set - and then I added the dinos on mini action wobbles - SOOOO very fun!

Here is a little action shot of the dinos on their wobbles:

And a close up of each of the colors and sentiments:

These were super fun to make - and relatively simple and easy, not to mention perfect for re-creating as a set!

Go Wild Party Animal - Neat and Tangled Birthday Party

Good morning! I'm sharing another card today with a new birthday set from Neat and Tangled - I just adore this darling Wild Ones stamp set, and wanted to squeeze all the cute critters from it onto one card!

I used my MISTI and stamped them on watercolor paper, leaving it looking like they are peeking into the center of the card, then added my sentiment in the middle. Colored them in with watercoors, and added some accents with a white gel pen. Finished off by matting with different colors of cardstock!

Bears and Hearts

Good morning! I'm sharing another couple of cards I made with a fun die from Simon Says Stamp One of a Kind Release, the adorable Picture Bear Wafer Dies, again cut from felt! {{{I used these same dies with different colors of felt in THIS post HERE}}}

This time I cut the bears out of two shades of brown felt, and again swapped out the pieces in reverse.

I added a die cut heart using Wonky Stitched Hearts, and added a sentiment from Loving Heart to each one.

Added some fun pattern paper die cut with Wonky Rectangles and a bit of jute twine to finish these off!

Galaxy and Giraffe - Neat and Tangled New Release

Good morning! Have you been seeing all the darling projects with some of the new Neat and Tangled Birthday Release?!?!? Well...last week I made a few galaxy backgrounds while at a friend's house crafting, so I decided to put one of them to use with that darling little giraffe from the new Wild Ones stamp set!

(((NOTE: I have had MANY requests to do a video tutorial for galaxy backgrounds - I promise I will do that soon! I didn't get it done before getting my 3 year old niece for the week, so filming videos is a little tougher right now - but I plan on working on it next week for sure if possible!)))

I am so addicted to galaxy backgrounds right now - SOOO fun! I don't know about anyone else, but I feel like I am totally screwing them up the entire time I am doing the watercoloring. Then, you get to the part where you add the splatters of white and gold - and all of a sudden it is AMAZING!

I colored the giraffe from Wild Ones with Warm Gray Copics so it would look like it was standing in the dark in the shadows, and die cut it with the coordinating Wild Ones Coordinating Dies. I added some stars from part of Seeing Stars Dies, and a sentiment from Origami Map heat embossed on a strip of white cardstock. The giraffe is mounted with foam adhesive, as well as the sentiment. A few white gel pen accents on the giraffe finish this card off!

SSS September Card Kit - Magical Unicorns!

Hello! The new "Best Birthday" September Card Kit for Simon Says Stamp is live! It really is quite a magical card kit! I couldn't seem to quit with this one, so here are a couple more cards I made with it:

This first card mostly focuses on the fun Doodlebug Pattern paper - not to mention that DARLING sentiment from the included stamp kit - Best Ever! I die cut a square from one of the pieces of pattern paper, mounted it over the stamped sentiment on a Stitched Banner, then added some silver thread wrapped around the top and a few of the enamel heart stickers.

And then there was this one piece of pattern paper that I just couldn't help using, and it almost made the card all on it's own!

I trimmed the pattern paper down, leaving a slight border so it would fit on a 5x5 card, then stamped a sentiment from Best Ever on the bottom. I then added Glossy Accents to the clouds, purple portions of the castle, and the trees - and sparkly Stickles to the rainbow, unicorn hair and hooves, the brick road, and portions of the castle as well. It was a simple way to make your pattern paper stand on it's own, but have a little more flair than just a plain piece of paper slapped on a white cardbase. Haha!

Here is a look at the entire kit contents - you can find it HERE:
