Lil' Inker's July Release - Day 3

Hello again! We've reached the 3rd and final day of sneak peeks for the new release at Lil' Inker Designs! So excited to share the last of the fun projects I have been working on with the new goodies - absolutely LOVE them!!!

It's probably obvious by now that I LOVE the pineapples! I had to play with one more way to use them on this card:

For this one, I used an embossing pad to emboss with the Pineapple Panache Die - leaving a inlaid outline of the pineapple shape. Then, I used my Zig watercolor pens to coloring in the image, and add some grounding underneath it. It was also super easy to stamp the sentiment from Greetings and Salutations over the top and not have an of it not make a clear impression. I'm so pleased with how well it worked! Also used Stitched Mats: Circles to partially die cut a circle, then added some layers of Crate Paper pattern paper, some gold and black Heidi Swapp Color Shine splatters, a few Pretty Pink Posh gold sequins, and a tiny paper clip with some jute twine.

Here are the new releases I used for this card:

Next up - this sentiment cracked me up the minute I saw it - and I totally envisioned a snail leaving a slime trail behind it! Just HAD to do it! :)

I started off with a strip of vellum with torn edges, and heat embossed the sentiment using Snailed It Stamp Set. Added a good thick coat of Glossy Accents to make the "slime" trail, then gave that plenty of time to dry. The snail was die cut with Snailed It Dies and stamped, then adhered over the top. I added a tiny strip of white paper under the vellum to ground the image.

Here are the new goodies used for this card:

And now the fun part! There is, of course, a chance to win some shopping money to spend on the new goodies! YAY!

Unity Thursday Hop - VIDEO for layering pattern paper!

Good morning! It's time for the Thursday Hop at Unity Stamp Company again today! I don't have anything finished with the new releases, but I thought I would share a card and video that I made recently and hadn't had a chance to share! It's another quick video - just over a minute, showing how to layer pattern paper for dimension.

Here is the video for how to create dimension and layers with pattern paper - you can view it larger and in better detail on my YouTube Challenge HERE:

I used a past Stamp of the Week, Sweet Elle - just adore it! Colored with Copics, then applied some distress ink to the edges. Pattern paper is from a Crate Paper 6x6 pad.

Don't forget to leave a comment here, and on the rest of the DT blogs for a chance to win this weeks giveaway! :)

And of course, make sure and check out the amazing sales to go along with the new releases!

Thanks for stopping by! Have a wonderful day!!!

Lil' Inker's July Release - Day 2

Hello! It's time for Day 2 of the new release at Lil' Inker Designs! So excited to share with you some of the many fun projects I have been working on with the new goodies - absolutely LOVE them!!!

First up, I have this glitzy and glamorous gold and white card to share!

I used Anytime Tag dies to die cut the front panel from vellum, then heat embossed my sentiment from Greetings and Salutations in gold on it. Does this sentiment make anyone else think of Charlotte's Web? I also used the beautiful new Quilted Flower Dies - such an incredibly fun and versatile set of dies! I used the stitched part to create the background on my card, then used the solid and outline to make the gold center flower. Added some gold thread and a few Pretty Pink Posh gold star sequins to finish off!

Here are the new goodies I used for this card:

Next up - a clean and simple card using just the Pineapple Panache Die without the stamps - it is such a perfect focal point for this!

I also used another beautiful Cover Up Die: Dotted Scallops. I love all of these! This one I thought paired great with the Pineapple - the texture just fit! I also heat embossed a sentiment from Pineapple Panache Stamps on a tiny hand trimmed vellum banner to adhere over the top.

Here are the new release goodies I used for this card:

And now the fun part! There is, of course, a chance to win some shopping money to spend on the new goodies! YAY!

Hawt Dog with Avocado Arts

Good morning! I'm up on the Avocado Arts blog this morning to share some projects with the new stamp set for July - Hawt Dog!

One of my favorite summer activities is camping - although sadly it feels like we rarely have time any more to do it - so caught up in the busyness of life sadly. Anyway, that cute tent and sentiment totally made me feel nostalgic to some of our many other camping trips!

I heat embossed it on vellum, layered on some fun pattern paper from Crate Paper, and finished off with some jute twine.

Next up, I tried my hand at some no line coloring on the S'more - I'm strange, because I like my s'more without the chocolate, or even better, with a bit of lemon curd to replace it! Yummy! However, this one is absolutely darling!

I stamped it with a soft MFT dye ink, then used a few other MFT dye inks to paint it in. LOVE how the no line effect came out! Added some splatters with the green as well, and a bit of jute twine to finish off.

And finally - that campfire and sentiment was just screaming for a bold treatment! Does anyone else love sitting around a campfire? Some of the best conversations happen there, don't you think?

I used some Basic Grey pattern paper, added some torn vellum strips, a few enamel dots, some jute twine, some white gel pen accents, and finished off with some white splatters of Mister Huey's mist.

Thanks so much for dropping by today! Hope your summer has been full of fun, and lots of camping and all the fun activities that brings! Have a great day!

Lil' Inker's July Release - Day 1

Hello! It's time for a new release at Lil' Inker Designs! So excited to share with you some of the many fun projects I have been working on with the new goodies - absolutely LOVE them!!!

First up, I played with the new Pineapple Panache set to make this bold and graphic card:

I stamped the bottoms of the pineapple after cutting the outline with the coordinating Pineapple Panache Die - heat embossed them in white, then heat embossed the tops in clear for a tone on tone effect. The background was created with the brand new Stitched Woodgrain Cover Up Die - I think one of my very favorite things from this new release! LOVE!!! I also used Stitched Scallop Border along the bottom for the sentiment.

Here are the new goodies I used for this card:

Next up - I used that beautiful Stitched Woodgrain Cover Up Die - did notice that hidden heart before? I colored it in with Copic markers to make it pop for this card. Also used the adorable new Snailed It set! SOOOO cute!

I also used the coordinating Snailed It Dies to perfectly die cut the snail! LOVE him in those two colors of ink from Simon Says Stamp! Added some layers of May Arts ribbon and lace and twine.

And now the fun part! There is, of course, a chance to win some shopping money to spend on the new goodies! YAY!
