Best Year Ever...

If you are looking for my giveaway post, scroll down or click HERE!

Good morning! Just quickly popping in to share a card I actually made a while back for Stamping Royalty. It didn't win obviously - but I still really like it!
I think it is the combination of rustic and gold elements that I love! I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment from MFT with gold Zing embossing powder on PTI rustic cream cardstock and rounded the bottom edges. Stamped another word and some stars from the same set with distress ink - although it is really hard to see in the pictures!
My background paper is by Crate Paper - LOVE how real that woodgrain looks!
Punched a couple of holes and tied some jute twine on, then finished off with a couple of sequins.
Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day!!!

Sunshine - and 2 Giveaways!!!

(Edited to add: I'm linking this up with the Moxie Fab World Mixy-Matchy Style Challenge!)

Good morning! We are on our second day of unusually gray weather in Wyoming, which I actually don't mind too much because it kind of reminds me of home (in Washington state where we come from it is this way a LOT!) - so I have been enjoying the cozy feeling of listening to the rain, and I LOVE thunderstorms and have been blessed enough to get to see a few wonderful ones in the last few days!

Anyway...thought I would throw together a cheerful sunshiny card for the Lil' Inker Designs Challenge (I also have 2 giveaways at the bottom of this post - promised it weeks ago, and took this long to finally get pictures taken!):
Here is the challenge graphic that was to be used for inspiration:

I kind of mostly used the photo in the bottom right for my inspiration.
I used Bazzil Cardstock for my cardbase, and pattern paper from Crate Paper for the cloud background, as well as the clouds and sunshine that I die cut with my Lil' Inker Dies.
I attached my clouds and sunshine with foam adhesive, overlapping certain parts while layering for dimension.
Stamped the sentiment from the coordinating set, added a strip of washi tape, and finished off with some yellow sequins.

Now...what everyone has been waiting for! Here are pictures of my giveaways! I have two separate ones, so there will be two separate winners! The first one has some stamps from Market Street, Peachy Keen, a*muse studio, gina k. designs, My Favorite Things, and Hero Arts, as well as some October Afternoon trim and a chipboard album.

The second one has some stamps from Peachy Keen, Stampin' Up, Glitz Designs, October Afternoon Market Street, My Favorite Things, and Hero Arts as well as some October Afternoon Flour Sack pieces and some chipboard frame elements.

So - how would you like to win one of these? It is super simple!

1. Just leave a comment here! I don't require you to be a follower...
2. ...but if you are, feel free to leave a separate comment saying you are for another entry!
3. Drop over to my Facebook page HERE and leave a comment for an extra chance to win!

That's it! I will probably draw a winner sometime next week!

Pattern Paper Happy Birthday

(Edited to add: I'm linking this up with the Moxie Fab World Mixy-Matchy Style Challenge!)

Hi there! It's my turn again to share some inspiration over on the Shop Pumpkin Spice Blog. This card I kept pretty simple, to focus on the message and make use of the beautiful pattern paper - you can find all supplies from Shop Pumpkin Spice linked at the bottom:

My pattern papers are from Crate Paper's 6x6 Little Bo Peep paper pad - except the gray pale chevron which is from Crate Paper's Paper Heart collection. I used my Silhouette Cameo and Studio Designer Edition Software, as well as a file from the online store to cut the happy birthday words.

Finished off by layering some more pattern paper under the front panel, then attaching it to a card base made of Bazzil Classic White Cardstock. Finally, I wrapped a bit of jute twine around and tied in a bow.

Thanks for stopping by today! Hope you are having a wonderful week!

MCS Challenge - Welcome to the Neighborhood

Good morning! Happy Memorial Day! Where has the almost first half of the year gone?!?!? Anyway - I'm here to share a card for this weeks new challenge at My Craft Spot - Welcome to the Neighborhood.
I used Chunky Alphabet stamp set to spell out my "welcome" on my card:

And I tied on some Natural Jute Twine as well:

I have been wanting to try out this pretty washi tape that I got a while back, so this seemed like a perfect opportunity! I layered several strips on a cardbase made from Avery Elle kraft cardstock, then cut the house shape out of white cardstock using my Silhouette Cameo.
I stamped the word "welcome" using MFT kraft ink, tied on my jute twine and added a MFT button, then finished off with a few sequins before attaching it to my cardbase with foam adhesive.
Super simple and fun! Might just have to make a few of these I think! Thanks for dropping by today! I look forward to seeing your creations this week!

SPS Inspiration: Jar of Love

Good morning! I get to post today over at the Shop Pumpkin Spice Blog, and I had fun with some more Crate Paper, as well as a Unity Stamp set and a bunch of fun embellishments that you can find over at Shop Pumpkin Spice! You can find them all linked at the bottom of this post:
I stamped this fun Unity Stamp jar on pattern paper, then fussy cut it out to adhere to my card. I stamped the hearts inside the jar, and spread a light layer of Stickles over the hearts to add a touch of sparkle. Also added a few enamel dots in the jar.
My pattern papers are all from Crate Paper's Bo Bunny 6x6 paper pad, and I used a coordinating epoxy brad from the same collection on my jute twine bow.
There is a bit of washi tape on there, as well as a doily tucked behind the center panel. I used Bazzil white cardstock for my cardbase - it is PERFECT for making card bases with!
Here are all the supplies used on this card, linked to the SPS store:

Thanks for stopping by! Hope you are having a wonderful Memorial Day Weekend!

Avery Elle May Challenge

Hello! Just popping in really quickly to post a card I made for this months Avery Elle Challenge:
Here is the challenge inspiration photo:

I loved all the beautiful blues, and the pillows inspired the squares of pattern paper and the stamped image.
I used pattern paper from Crate Paper's 6x6 The Pier paper pad, and stamped the frame and sentiment with Avery Elle stamps and some MFT ink and Stampin' Up ink.
Added a sprinkle of sequins, also from Avery Elle, some distress ink, and a bit of Jute Twine.
Hope you are having a fun holiday weekend! We got to go hiking this morning at a local lake, had a lunch barbecue with some friends, and bought some hanging baskets for our front porch! They smell SOOO good! Now I need a porch swing so I can enjoy them more! :-)

You're the Sweetest - FWF

Good morning! Happy Friday and Friends with Flair! I made a very clean and simple card to share this morning - still something I am working on - but I love how this one came out:
I did this for the 10 Minute Craft Dash Challenge - here are the colors:

Here is how much time I had left (finally remember to take a picture this time!):
I used my brand new May 2013 Unity KOTM for all the images - stamped the border and sentiment with MFT inks, and added sequins to the centers of the border.
Stamped the lemonade pitcher with Memento ink, colored it with Copics, and added a bit of stickles to the pitcher for some sparkle.
A perfect, flat (except for the sequins!), and mail-able card! YAY!

Hello Sweet Friend - Moxie Fab TT

Good Afternoon! I had a few minutes early this morning and wanted to play along with this weeks Moxie Fab Tuesday Trigger - so I put this together:
I mean seriously! Isn't this BEAUTIFUL?!?!?!? I saw it and knew just which stamp I wanted to use:

The stamped image is an older Unity Stamp of the Week called Precious Things that I won a while back. I colored it with Tim Holtz distress markers, then stamped it onto some Bazzil Cardstock. Next, I had some Prima pattern paper that I pulled out, then stamped the Tea Time Pattern Background in soft gray over the top. This is one of my favorite background stamps EVER! LOVE how big it is!
I used Lil' Inker's stitched rectangle dies to add the stitching on the cardbase, then tucked in a feather, added some enamel dots, and finished off with some jute twine and a sentiment from the April KOTM.
Thanks for stopping by today! Almost Friday! YAY!!!

May All Your Wishes...

Good morning! This is a card I have had in my stash for quite a while now - actually a publication reject! Sooo...I thought I would share it here today! It would work well for several occasions - I made it as a birthday card, but I also can see that it would work great for a graduation card, mother's day, congratulations, or ?

Can you think of any other occasions?
Super simple card - I started with a kraft paper cardbase, and sprayed on some white Mister Huey's spray mist. After that dried, I inked the edges with some distress ink.
I cut the silhouette out with my Silhouette Cameo, and a file from the Silhouette store, and added the pearls before attaching to my card with foam adhesive.
Finished off by hand trimming a banner, and stamping the sentiment from a My Favorite Things stamp set, then attaching it with foam adhesive.
Thanks for stopping by today! Have a great day!!!

Stitched Hi - and exciting news!!!

Good morning! I had planned on posting this card for the current Paper Smooches SPARKS Cool Shades color challenge today anyway - but now I have the added excitement of sharing that I made the new SPARKS Design Team!!! I just found out late yesterday afternoon, and I'm still over-the-moon excited and pinching myself! You can read the announcement HERE if you're interested! Anyway, here is my card I made for the current challenge:
Here is the color combo:

I had been dying to try a technique that I have tried before with other clear stamps, but not yet with my Paper Smooches, and I needed a nice symmetric image for it. So I pulled out "Needle Little Love" and gave it a try. I selected the heart, then attached it backwards to my clear stamp block - so the back was facing out. I inked up and stamped it four times with MFT kraft ink, then cleaned it well, removed it, and stamped the correct side over the heart with two different colors of MFT ink. The end result is that it makes a perfect shadow effect for the stitched heart.
After that, I stamped my sentiment, stamped the stitching around the edges from the same set, then added a bit of bling to the hearts. I debossed that panel with my PTI Linen Impression Plate, inked the edges with distress ink, then distressed the edges with my Tim Holtz distress tool. Tied some jute twine around and added a MFT button.
Finished off with some pattern paper from Basic Grey's Mint Julep 6x6 paper pad, also with the edges distressed, and mounted everything on a card base made with Avery Elle Kraft Cardstock.
Thanks for stopping by today! I will see you again soon!!!
