Moxie Fab Tuesday Trigger - Home Sweet Home

Good morning! When I saw the current Tuesday Trigger over on Moxie Fab World - I instantly thought of the newly released Peachy Keen KOTM! This is what I came up with:
And here is the trigger photo - cute, huh?

I used some older papers from my stash, embossed the yellow using my Paptertrey Ink Impression plate, then paper-pieced the image from the Peachy Keen March kit.
I did a little highlighting with some Copic Markers, and then stamped the grass from the kit all over in a couple different shades of green.
Stamped the sentiment over the top, added a couple of PTI buttons and some PTI twine, and a touch of bling with my Jolee's heat set tool.
Finished off with some random ribbons from my stash, some Baker's Twine from the Twinery.
Finally, I rounded the top two corners off, and inked the edges with Tim Holtz Distress ink in Tea Dye.
Thanks for stopping by! And just for fun, here is a photo of the March Peachy Keen Kit that I used for this project!!!

Super Quick Peachy Card!

Good morning! I had forgotten that I didn't post this here on my blog yet! I made this for the Peachy Release Party on Saturday morning - and finished it just in time to post there - but not here! I literally put this card together in less than 10 minutes! Gotta love a quick card!
I used a 6x6 Echo Park Paper pad from my stash, stamped an image from the brand new Peachy Keen release on pattern paper, and simply highlighted it with a bit of white gel pen.
Used up some scrap pieces of paper, added a touch of ribbon, and pop-dotted a layer for some dimension - and done! Super easy!
Thanks for stopping by this morning! Hope you have a sweet day - and remember to bloom where you're planted!!!

Peachy Keen Day!

Good morning! It is my morning to post over on the Peachy Keen blog! Since cards are my favorite thing to make, that's what I have to share with you! I used the newly released March stamps for my card:
I am so in love with the brand new Peachy Kit of the Month for March - seriously the CUTEST gnomes EVER!!!  Here is a picture of the Kit:

I also used the watering can, little shovel, and flowers from this kit:

This is a big card - nearly 6x6 sized. I fell in love with the background paper, which is from one of My Minds Eye's new 6x6 paper pads. I trimmed about 1/8 inch off around all 4 edges, so my card ended up about 5.75 x 5.75 - that way it fits in a 6x6 envelope! (Yes, I learned that one the hard way the first time I made a large card and it wouldn't fit in the envelope!)
Then I pulled out my scissors and paper - and did TONS of paper piecing! Those little daisy's were the slowest part - but it is so worth it! I love how they came out! I then used pop-dots for lots of dimension - it looks like everything is popping off the scene at you!
I used an X-acto knife to cut the tiny details around the handles of the watering can, after I colored it with Copics.
On the flower pot, I cut the whole thing out, then cut an extra of just the top portion of the pot, and pop-dotted it before adhering the flowers to it. I thought it made the pot look more real! I also inked the edges of the pot with Tim Holtz distress ink in Antique linen for a bit more dimension.
The sentiment, also from the Kit of the Month, is stamped right on the main panel. I finished off with a sheer ribbon bow on the top of the card, and a couple of stick on pearls under the sentiment.
Almost forgot - I also inked the edges of the front piece with Tim Holtz distress ink, also in Antique Linen, and added some Copic marker "shadows" under the gnome and pot.
That's it for me! Thanks so much for stopping by to visit today!!! Home you have a marvelous week!!!

MFT Getting Sketchy #60

Good morning!!! Wanted to share my card for the My Favorite Things Getting Sketchy Challenge #60. I actually got it done quicker than usual this week (Saturday) but didn't have time to post it until this morning! One of these days I will get it in a little quicker than last minute!!! Anyway, here is my card for the sketch:
And here is the sketch I followed:

I used, as always, another one of the Pure Innocence line of stamps. I used my Spellbinders Nestabilities to cut the circle, and stamped and colored the image with Copic markers.
All the papers are from My Minds Eye - one of the new 6x6 paper pads I have been using lately - and LOVING!!!
I inked the edges of the circle, then pop-dotted it from the background, and added a border cut with a Fiskars border punch.
When I stamped the "birthday girl" sentiment, I curved it as I stuck it to my clear block, so that it stamped around the circle, instead of in a straight line.
I didn't have a tab die cut, so I just rounded the edges off a rectangular piece of cardstock for that element of the sketch. Added some Papertrey Ink twine and button to finish it off.
It's Monday - so I am off to get started on all of the normal things a week holds! Hope you have a wonderful Monday - and wonderful week!!!

Peachy Keen Release Day Post 3

Hello again! Here is my 3rd and final (and I think favorite!) card for the morning:
I used just the new March Kit of the Month for this card:

This set of stamps just makes me SMILE!!! And I LOVE this card so much! I stamped and paper pieced it with some of my favorite papers from Basic Grey (Picadilly 6x6 paper pad) and My Minds Eye (On The Bright Side 6x6 paper pad).
I pop-dotted the oval - cut with my Spellbinders Nestabilities - from the background, and tucked some ribbon tabs behind it.
The edges of everything were inked with Tim Holtz distress ink in Antique Linen. And I added some stick on pearls under the sentiment.
My favorite part about this card? I paper pieced the hat so that it comes right off the top and continues on!!! I think it came out so fun and different! LOVE it!
The bow at the bottom is made of Baker's Twine, and has a Papertrey Ink Button and some button Twine on it.
I stamped and paper-pieced a little mushroom and flower from the kit as well, adding some white gel pen to highlight it a bit, and put those in the bottom corner - just cause it felt like something was missing!
Yep - I'm in love with these gnomies! Hope you take some time to check out all the new releases and join in with the release party over on the Peachy Keen Connection
I am also linking this up with the Playdate Cafe Color Challenge - where I got my color inspiration!

Peachy Keen Release Day Post 2

Hello again! Here is my second post for the day! Here is the second card I made with the new releases:
And here is the set I used for this card:

I love how elegant this set can turn out!
I used some papers from a Theresa Collins 6x6 paper pad for the background. The flowers were stamped 3 times, then colored with Copics.
I rounded the edges of the white cardstock, then inked the edges of everything with Tim Holtz distress ink in Antique Linen.
Finished off with some Baker's Twine, and some October Afternoon trim from the Sidewalks wrap pack.
I'm off to post the last card for the morning now!!!

Peachy Keen Release Day Post 1

Good morning! Today is the day the new Peachy Keen Stamps are releasing!!! They are available now for purchase. Here is another one of the cards I made with the new releases:
Here are the sets I used:

Isn't that mushroom background amazing?!?!? I think it is so cute, and there are so many possibilities with it!!! For this card, I heat embossed it with white embossing powder on kraft paper.
I cut and embossed a circle using my Spellbinders Nestabilities, stamped and embossed the mushroom from the Kit of the Month,  and added some Copic highlights. And...because I couldn't resist - I put her on an Action Wobble!!! These are seriously so much fun - if you haven't tried those yet, Peachy Keen carries them as well! Here are a couple of shots of the action:

The sentiment is from the Gnomegrown set - heat embossed on a square of kraft paper. I also added some pink highlights on the sides with a Copic Marker - don't know if the picture shows it very well - but it's there!
I also did some inked of all the edges with my Tim Holtz distress ink in Antique Linen, then pop-dotted the sentiment onto the background.
All right - I will be posting two more cards with the new sets - so make sure and head over to Peachy Keen Stamps to check out all of the new sets!!! And if you haven't heard - we are having a release party on the Peachy Keen Connection! There will be challenges, prizes, chatting, and lots of fun! Come join us!!!
